  • Urged legislation that requires insurance companies to designate an email address for delivery of pre-suit notices and mandates that the state forward these notices to the email.
  • Helped create protection for insurance company trade secret information, even if that information is contained in aggregate information released by the state.

Healthcare

  • Advocated against adverse legislation affecting the health insurance program insuring state employees.
  • Helped prevent onerous legislation governing the merger and acquisition of healthcare practices and facilities.
  • Opposed legislation designed to interfere with private contracts between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare payers.
  • Lobbied against legislation designed to ban for-profit companies from operating in the organ tissue procurement process.
  • Supported an amendment to Florida law to allow for legitimate referral agreements and activities by healthcare providers.
  • Advocated against an effort by certain hospitals to raid the low-income pool payments of other hospitals using the regional perinatal intensive care center network.
